The Hudson Group at Roanoke-Blacksburg Regional Airport is hiring a Retail Shift Manager to lead store operations and ensure outstanding customer experiences across shifts.

You will coach associates, manage timekeeping, and maintain merchandising standards while upholding brand policies and safety guidelines. This role entails active supervision and dynamic problem solving in a busy airport environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail and/or customer service experience.
• Minimum of 6 months of supervisory or lead experience in retail or customer service.
• Book retail experience or active reading interest preferred.

Responsibilities

• Executes SOPs during assigned shifts and coaches staff to maintain standards.
• Ensures merchandise displays are clean, stocked, and visually appealing; reports maintenance needs.
• Reviews and approves timekeeping punches; monitors overtime to comply with labor laws and budget.
• Assigns tasks to associates and ensures rest breaks and meals per regulations.
• Escalates performance concerns and provides guidance to improve performance.
• Operates POS and processes transaction voids; follows cash handling policies.
• Monitors inventory levels, assists with receiving, and reports discrepancies.
• Ensures compliance with retail policies and training on brand standards.
• Executes planogram changes and oversees seasonal displays for brand alignment.
• Delivers exceptional customer service and motivates staff to meet customer experience standards.
