Job summary

SSP America at Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport is hiring an Assistant Restaurant Manager to lead high-volume food service operations in a fast-paced airport setting. You will manage all food and guest service activities, supervise team performance, and ensure daily operations meet brand standards.

The role requires 2+ years in restaurant management, strong MS Office and POS skills, and excellent interpersonal abilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or coursework preferred.
• 2+ years in restaurants in a management/supervisory capacity with 1 year of bar management experience preferred.
• Proficient level of computer literacy, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and POS systems.
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interact with executives, union representatives and hourly team members.

Responsibilities

• Manage all food and customer service activities and supervise team performance.
• Lead and develop the team, recruit, train, and assign daily tasks and goals.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Maintain food standards and monitor inventory levels.
• Handle staff management, payroll, scheduling, and purchasing tasks.
• Assist in forecasting and budgeting by analyzing sales reports.
• Address routine issues and escalate complex problems to management as needed.
