Job summary

Horizon Air in Medford, OR is seeking a part-time Ramp & Customer Service Agent to handle above/below wing tasks, guest interactions, and ramp functions. You’ll assist with inquiries, luggage handling, boarding duties, and security checks while working outdoors in various weather. A flexible schedule, union-style benefits, and solid training support are offered.

Starting rate is USD 17.23 per hour. Candidates must be 18+, authorized to work in the U.S., and able to obtain required

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have a valid unexpired driver’s license issued by a US state, a US territory or the District of Columbia.
• Ability to learn and operate a computerized reservation system.
• Typing speed of at least 25 WPM.
• Ability to consistently lift 50 pounds.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, reach and grasp.
• Ability to perform basic mathematics.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to participate in paid training that may require overnight travel.
• Depending on work location, ability to obtain USPS Mail Handling Certification.
• Ability to obtain airport security clearance.
• Ability to communicate in English.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum age of 18.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Assist guests with travel needs in a fast-paced environment.
• Work outdoors in all weather performing below wing functions and handling luggage.
• Perform boarding and gate duties and make announcements.
• Process and secure guest luggage and manage claims.
• Load and unload luggage and cargo with conveyor belts.
• May be assigned to additional duties to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
