Job summary

Horizon Air is seeking a Ramp & Client Service Agent in Medford, OR. You will assist guests with travel needs, perform ramp duties outdoors in all weather, handle luggage, and guide boarding and gate processes to ensure a smooth travel experience.

The role requires strong communication, multitasking, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. A valid US driver’s license, English proficiency, and flexible schedule are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have a valid unexpired driver’s license issued by a US state, a US territory or the District of Columbia.
• Ability to learn and operate a computerized reservation system.
• Typing speed of at least 25 WPM.
• Ability to consistently lift 50 pounds.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, reach and grasp.
• Ability to perform basic mathematics.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to participate in paid training that may require overnight travel.
• Depending on work location, ability to obtain USPS Mail Handling Certification.
• Ability to obtain airport security clearance.
• Ability to communicate in English.
• Minimum age of 18.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Assist guests with travel needs (e.g., inquiries, baggage, ticketing, check-in, boarding) in a fast-paced environment.
• Work outdoors in all weather while performing below-wing functions (transports baggage, loads cargo, aircraft marshaling, pushes back, de-ices).
• Perform aircraft grooming and security searches.
• Boarding and gate duties; assist and direct guests, make announcements, process standby and upgrade requests.
• Process and secure guest luggage; file and maintain luggage claims for damaged, delayed, or pilfered items.
• Load and offload luggage and cargo using conveyor belts.
• As directed by management, perform duties of varying capacities to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
