Job summary

Horizon Air in Sacramento is seeking a Ground Service Agent to join the airport ramp team. You will support loading, unloading, aircraft servicing, and tow operations to keep flights on time while upholding safety and security standards.

This on-site, part-time role requires physical fitness, a valid driver’s license, English fluency, and the ability to work nights, weekends and holidays. The position offers competitive benefits and growth opportunities within Alaska/Hawaiian/Horizon Total

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have a valid unexpired driver’s license.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Able to bend, stoop, squat, reach and grasp.
• Capable of basic mathematics.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Participation in paid training may require overnight travel.
• Ability to obtain USPS Mail Handling Certification.
• Ability to obtain airport security clearance.
• English proficiency and authorization to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Load and offload luggage and cargo, transporting to various airport locations.
• Distribute paperwork to flight crews including fuel slips, load plans, cargo manifests and flight releases.
• Marshals and pushes back aircraft.
• Prepare weight and balance forms and input accurate data into the system.
• Service aircraft, including lavatory, water, grooming, deicing and security checks.
• Operate belt-loaders, tugs, air-start units, bag carts, lavatory carts and deice trucks.
• Execute aircraft tow operations as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
