Job summary

Menzies Aviation is seeking a full-time Ramp Agent to help flights run on time by handling cargo, baggage and ground operations. You will maintain records, move items between aircraft and gates, and operate equipment as needed.

Applicants should be at least 18, hold a high school diploma or GED (or have ramp experience), pass pre-employment drug testing, and have a valid driver’s license. The job requires outdoor work and variable shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a high school diploma, GED or six months ramp agent work experience.
• Must be able to pass all pre-employment testing, including a drug test.
• Capable of safely lifting up to 70 lbs. continuously.
• Must be able to proficiently speak, read, and write in English.
• Must have a current driver's license with no violations over the past 5 years.
• Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including overtime, weekends and holidays.
• Work is outdoors and must be comfortable in all weather conditions.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain Airports and Customs badges/seals.

Responsibilities

• Move cargo and baggage on and off aircraft and transport between aircraft and terminals.
• Continuously lift and move up to 70 lbs of cargo and baggage.
• Operate motorized equipment as required.
• Read and interpret weight, balance loading instructions, labels, manifests and routing tags.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
