Job summary

Menzies Aviation in Colorado Springs is seeking a full-time Ramp Agent to help flights run on time by handling cargo and baggage, guiding aircraft to gates, and keeping detailed weight and balance records.

You will lift up to 70 lbs, work outdoors in all weather, operate motorized equipment, and pass pre-employment drug tests. A high school diploma and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma, GED or six months ramp agent work experience.
• Must be able to pass all pre-employment testing, including a drug test.
• Capable of safely lifting up to 70 lbs. continuously.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with no violations over the past 5 years.
• Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including overtime, weekends and holidays.
• Work is done outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain airports and customs badges/seals.

Responsibilities

• Lift/move 70 lbs of cargo and baggage on/off aircraft and transport between aircraft, terminals and cargo facilities.
• Frequent bending, stretching, pushing/pulling in small, confined locations.
• Operate motorized equipment.
• Read and interpret weight and balance loading instructions, hazmat labels, loading manifests, and routing tags.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
