Job summary

Menzies Aviation is seeking a full-time Ramp Agent to join our team. The Ramp Agent maintains records of shipped goods, moves baggage and cargo, and guides aircraft to and from gates.

Applicants must be at least 18, have a HS diploma/GED (or 6 months ramp experience), pass pre-employment testing including a drug test, and possess a valid driver’s license. Position is outdoor and requires flexibility for overtime and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have high school diploma, GED or six months prior ramp agent work experience.
• Must be able to pass all pre-employment testing, including a drug test.
• Capable of safely lifting upto 70 lbs. continuously.
• Must be able to proficiently speak, read, and write in English.
• Must have a current driver’s license with no violations over the past 5 years.
• Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including overtime, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lift/move 70 lbs of cargo and baggage on/off aircraft and transport between aircraft, terminals and facilities.
• Frequent bending, stretching, pushing/pulling, stacking in confined locations.
• Operate motorized equipment.
• Read and interpret loading instructions, labels, manifests and routing tags.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
