Job summary

Menzies Aviation in Miami, FL is seeking a Part-Time Ramp Agent to join our international and domestic team. The Ramp Agent ensures flights run on time by handling cargo and baggage, recording shipments, and guiding aircraft to and from gates.

Essential duties include lifting up to 70 lbs, operating motorized equipment, interpreting loading manifests and labels, and maintaining accuracy in records. Applicants must be 18+, have a high school diploma or GED, pass a drug test, and hold a valid

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Six months ramp agent work experience preferred.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license with no violations in the past 5 years.
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs safely.
• Must communicate in English (read, write, and speak).
• Must be available for variable shifts including overtime, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lift/move up to 70 lbs of cargo and baggage on and off aircraft and transport between aircraft, terminals and facilities.
• Operate motorized equipment in the ramp environment.
• Read and interpret loading instructions, weight and balance, manifests, hazard labels, and routing tags.
• Assist in guiding aircraft to and from gates.
• Maintain detailed records of shipped goods and cargo movements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
