Job summary

HMSHost in Tampa is seeking a General Manager I to lead a QSR restaurant or cluster near the Tampa Airport. You will manage staffing, training, and day-to-day operations to achieve high sales and strong profitability while ensuring excellent guest service.

The role requires P&L ownership, strategic planning, and the ability to implement brand standards and safety protocols. A strong emphasis on employee engagement and leadership is essential for sustained success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years restaurant P&L management; 5–7 years overall restaurant experience.
• Graduation from a Food Service Management or Culinary program may substitute for part of the experience.
• Ability to read financial and operational data and drive unit performance.
• Demonstrates leadership, training, and engagement of staff.

Responsibilities

• Open and close operations; ensure proper opening/closing procedures.
• Staff deployment and scheduling to maximize profitability; ensure shifts are covered.
• Recruiting, hiring, promotion, and disciplinary actions; promote HMSHost as an employer of choice.
• Maintain brand standards, CBAs, and landlord/brand/operator relationships.
• Drive revenue initiatives and marketing programs as directed; monitor safety and compliance.
