Job summary

Horizon Air is hiring a Passenger Service Agent to assist guests with travel needs, handle baggage, ticketing, check-in and boarding, and resolve guest inquiries. The role requires a minimum of 1 year in customer service, strong communication, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and holidays.

You must be able to lift 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and learn a computerized reservation system. A high school diploma or equivalent and U.S. work authorization are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of customer service experience or community service.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to learn and operate a computerized reservation system.
• Typing speed of at least 25 WPM.
• Ability to consistently lift 50 pounds.
• Must be able to stand for long periods.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, reach and grasp.
• Ability to perform basic mathematics.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to participate in paid training that may require overnight travel.
• Ability to obtain airport security clearance.
• Ability to communicate in English.
• Minimum age of 18.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Assist guests with travel needs (inquiries, baggage, ticketing, check-in, boarding).
• Ensure cabin accommodations.
• Assist with mishandled guests due to oversold/delayed/cancelled flights, lost or damaged luggage.
• Coordinate seat assignments and announcements.
• Process and secure guest luggage and handle delayed/damaged luggage claims.
• May be assigned various duties to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
