State of Connecticut - Connecticut Airport Authority is seeking qualified candidates for the Airport Operations Assistant Specialist at Bradley International Airport (BDL) in Windsor Locks, CT. The role supports 24/7 airport operations, including snow response and airfield inspections, across nights, weekends, and holidays.

The position requires adherence to the ACM and FAA regulations, collaboration with airlines, FAA, FBOs, and tenants, and strong communication skills to manage operations,

Qualifications

• Six (6) years of experience in the aeronautical operations activities of an airport or a scheduled airline.
• Two (2) years of the General Experience must have involved responsibility for the implementation of airport policies and procedures relating directly to Airside Operations and Airport Certification.
• College training in aviation management or a closely related field may be substituted for part of the General Experience (15 semester hours = 1/2 year; up to 4 years for a Bachelor's).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate ongoing airport operations on an assigned shift to ensure safe, secure, and efficient movement of aircraft and ground staff.
• Perform daily airfield inspections and monitor runway conditions; issue NOTAMs as needed.
• Liaise among airlines, FAA, FBOs, tenants and lessees; ensure compliance with ACM, Airport Security Plan and related programs.
• Assist in snow removal operations and coordinate with maintenance staff during winter events.
• Prepare reports and documentation; respond to noise complaints and participate in noise abatement initiatives.
