Job summary

City of Midland, Texas is seeking an Airport Operations Agent to help keep runways safe and terminals functioning. You will inspect airfields, issue NOTAMs, and coordinate with air traffic control while staying compliant with FAA regulations.

The role requires a degree in aviation management, strong communication skills, and the ability to respond to inquiries from the public and regulators. A Texas driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aviation management plus 1–3 years of experience.
• Valid Texas driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform paging and public address in the airport terminal.
• Monitor alarms and mechanical systems.
• Escort authorized personnel and equipment within secured areas.
• Conduct daily inspections for regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with air traffic control for escorts on the airfield.
• Issue NOTAMs on airfield conditions.
• Maintain daily records and submit to supervisor.
• Respond to inquiries from the public, tenants and regulators.
