Job summary

Harnett County Airport is seeking a hands-on Airport Ground Worker who will contribute to the safety, operations, maintenance and security of airport facilities and aircraft operations. The role involves assisting pilots, passengers and officials with a professional, courteous approach while performing fueling, custodial duties and basic ground services.

Responsibilities include refueling under safety rules, handling luggage, coordinating with hangar and terminal staff, and maintaining records

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalency required.
• One year of related work experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old with a valid NC driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Takes service orders and refuels aircraft observing safety regulations.
• Assists with luggage handling and passenger services; greets pilots, customers and the public.
• Maintains fuel inventory and performs quality control for safe fueling operations.
• Operates radio, computer systems, and POS to track aircraft and sales.
• Performs security checks and custodial tasks to maintain clean facilities.
• Drives County vehicles and operates ground-cleaning equipment when needed.
