The City of Hickory is seeking an Airport Line Technician to perform airport line services, maintain FBO facilities, hangars and grounds, and ensure Hickory Regional Airport is prepared for daily flights and customers. The role involves daily Monday–Friday scheduling with some after-hours or weekend coverage as needed.

Responsibilities include fueling planes, directing aircraft, coordinating with customer service, and conducting safety inspections of facilities and equipment.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license issued by the State of North Carolina preferred.
• Able to pass background and pre-employment checks as specified by the City.

Aufgaben

• Perform daily runway inspections verifying lights, signs, and markers are visible and functioning.
• Direct aircraft to parking areas and secure aircraft.
• Take service orders from pilots and communicate with Customer Service desk.
• Fuel planes and provide GPU, lavatory, and other ground services as needed.
• Perform safety inspections of fuel farms, mobile fuel trucks, FBO facility, ATC Tower, and hangars.
