Job summary

Manitowoc County is seeking an Airport Maintenance Worker to keep runways, taxiways, lights, and signage in safe, reliable condition. If you enjoy outdoor work, problem solving, and hands-on repairs, this role offers variety and a direct impact on airport operations.

You will maintain grounds and facilities per FAA/BOA standards, perform snow/ice removal, operate airport vehicles, and assist with general upkeep.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma and Wisconsin driver's license are required.
• Education and work experience sufficient to perform the essential duties.

Responsibilities

• Maintain airport grounds, facilities, and adjacent properties in accordance with FAA and BOA requirements.
• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and replacements of airport lighting, signage, and related components.
• Operate equipment and perform snow and ice removal on runways and airport grounds to support safe, year-round operations.
• Perform basic mechanical repairs and maintenance on airport vehicles, machinery, and equipment.
• Assist with general groundskeeping and upkeep to maintain a safe, clean, and professional airport environment.
• Help ensure airport facilities, grounds, and equipment remain in good working condition.
