Job summary

Asheville Regional Airport is seeking a maintenance worker to perform routine repairs, landscaping, and general upkeep of airport facilities and grounds. The role supports daily operations, assists with building maintenance, and participates in snow/ice removal during winter events to keep runways and taxiways clear.

The position requires a high school diploma and 6 months of maintenance/landscaping experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six months' experience in general maintenance or landscaping preferred; 3–6 months to become proficient.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic routine repair, maintenance, and landscaping to support airport facilities.
• Assist with building maintenance including painting, light carpentry, and minor repairs.
• Maintain grounds and parking lot upkeep, including trash removal, pressure washing, mowing, and snow/ice removal.
• Operate and maintain equipment such as sweepers, pressure washers, mowers, and snow removal equipment.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance (OSHA/EPA) and proper disposal of hazardous wastes.
