Job summary

City of Austin’s AUS department seeks a dispatcher for Aviation Department operations, handling emergency and non-emergency calls, dispatching services, and CCTV/security system coordination to maintain safe airport operations.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalent.
• Two years PBX or Emergency call taking or dispatching, or operating a 2-way or multi-channel radio.

Responsibilities

• Answer emergency and non-emergency calls and dispatch accordingly.
• Enter and update calls for service for police, EMS, fire and security.
• Provide information to Airport personnel, tenants and agencies.
