Job summary

Southwest Airlines is seeking an Operations Agent (part-time) at Birmingham, AL. You will support gates, boarding, and ramp activities to keep flights on time while delivering friendly customer service.

The role involves coordinating with adjacent teams, checking flight details, and helping Crews have what they need for safe, on-time departures. Training and union-based schedules apply.

Qualifications

• Ability to work well with others as part of a team.
• Must be GSC qualified.
• Must comply with DOT drug and alcohol testing program.
• Ability to read documents and follow ramp procedures.
• Must type and use a computer keyboard efficiently.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly service to Customers and maintain positive relationships.
• Coordinate ramp operations to ensure on-time departure and smooth aircraft servicing.
• Assist with boarding, weight and balance checks, and communication with airport teams.
• Support Gate Agents and Flight crews to expedite check-in and boarding.
• Prepare dispatch and weather reports for crew and ensure proper documentation.
