Job summary

Tucson Airport Authority in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and support the airport’s network and computing systems, both on-premises and in the cloud. You will ensure availability, performance, and security of the IT backbone, including VMware-based environments and key security controls.

Responsibilities include patching, capacity planning, disaster recovery, and collaborating with vendors and stakeholders to modernize technology infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college/university with major coursework in Information Technology (IT), Business, Information/Cybersecurity.
• Seven(7)years of experience in medium to large network infrastructure environments.
• TAA will consider any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities sufficient to demonstrate aptitude for the position.

Responsibilities

• Manage performance and capacity planning for network systems.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve network and related system problems; install, configure, and troubleshoot network equipment.
• Install and test software patches, upgrades, and configuration changes.
• Monitor and optimize network systems performance and security.
• Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams on modernization.
• Mentor others and ensure knowledge transfer within the team.
• Create and maintain configuration documentation and change management procedures.
