Job summary

The City of Amarillo is seeking an IT Infrastructure Engineer I (Airport) to architect, build, monitor, and manage airport IT infrastructure onsite. You will help deliver high availability, performance, and security for mission-critical systems in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications include an Associate's degree and 1–2 years troubleshooting experience, strong Windows Server, VMware, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, and networking knowledge.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent with 1–2 years of IT troubleshooting experience.
• Solid experience in Microsoft Active Directory, VMware, network infrastructure and monitoring tools.
• Knowledge of OSI model, TCP/IP, and Windows Server administration.

Responsibilities

• Maintains, monitors, and supports the infrastructure environment.
• Supports systems and applications of low to medium complexity with multiple users.
• Coordinates with project teams to understand business needs and requirements.
• Performs routine maintenance: backups, patch management, and hot fixes.
• Provides Level 1-2 production support and analyzes root causes.
• Documents changes and coordinates with external vendors as needed.
