Job summary

Hyde Park Hospitality is seeking a Food and Beverage Runner for the Chase SAN Lounge at San Diego International Airport. This full-time role delivers mobile orders to guests, communicates with chefs, and supports both front and back-of-house teams to ensure timely, friendly service in an elevated lounge setting.

Ideal candidates are guest-focused, can multi-task, and maintain a polished appearance. Requires ability to lift up to 40 pounds, stand long hours, and pass an airport security

Qualifications

• Ability to present information clearly in one-on-one and group settings.
• Maintain composure under pressure and adapt to diverse guest needs.
• Presentable appearance aligned with service standards.
• Understanding of hygiene and food safety rules.
• Physical ability to carry heavy trays and stand for long hours.
• Availability to work various shifts, including weekends.
• Multi-tasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Good oral communication skills.
• Ability to handle the stress of a busy airport shift up to 10 hours.
• Must pass and obtain security background check for airport environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a positive guest experience and resolve complaints per policy.
• Act as liaison between Front and Back of House staff.
• Communicate food orders to chefs with attention to allergies and requests.
• Assist wait staff with setting tables and providing utensils and napkins.
• Serve food and beverages in a timely, safe manner.
• Check in with guests, take orders, and refill water as needed.
• Inform restaurant staff about guest feedback or requests.
• Maintain knowledge of all food and beverage offerings.
• Remove dirty dishes and utensils.
• Answer guests’ questions about ingredients and menu items.
• Ensure timely and safe delivery of orders.
