Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Principal Project Manager – Design Manager for Airport Lounge initiatives in New York. You will lead design management from feasibility to opening, coordinating with outside design firms, technical partners, and internal teams to deliver innovative hospitality concepts and branded environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design.
• At least 5 years in interior design or architecture within hospitality.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, InDesign, SketchUp, Illustrator.
• At least 3 years in vendor management or relationship management.
• Experience sourcing architectural materials, finishes, furniture, fixtures, and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Design and management of Airport Lounge business development opportunities, including ownership of the initial design phase and management of RFPs.
• Lead design pipeline by managing design phase, AOR partners, and consultants to meet company goals.
• Lead projects from feasibility and site assessment through Opening, including layout, CD creation, permitting, and construction administration.
• Drive cross-functional projects, ensure scope, timelines, and budget are met; identify and mitigate risks.
• Demonstrate communication and partnership skills to interact with stakeholders and influence outcomes.
• Prioritize and manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
• Conduct regular team meetings and document progress for stakeholders.
• Partner with customers to provide strategic thought partnership to drive project delivery.
• Forge relationships with key stakeholders to ensure delivery of commitments.
