Job summary

SSP America operates multiple restaurants at the Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport. As a Line Cook you will receive orders, prepare dishes, and set up the kitchen so teams have tools and products ready for service.

You will follow recipes, manage portions, rotate stock, and help maintain cleanliness and health standards in a fast-paced airport environment with SSP America facilities. Candidates should have at least one year in food service, a high school diploma preferred, and good

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in a food service environment.
• High school diploma preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic math skills for portioning and counting.
• Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Follow recipes and practice portion control to prepare, garnish, and present items.
• Maintain kitchen setup and station readiness daily.
• Handles, stores, and rotates all products properly.
• Maintain stock, cutting, and storage of perishables daily.
• Complete opening, on-going, and closing checklists.
• Take responsibility for quality of products served.
• Perform cleaning tasks to meet health standards.
