Job summary

Tailwind Concessions LLC in Wilmington, NC, is seeking a Kitchen Manager to lead a busy kitchen, drive food quality, and coach a high-performing team. The role requires strong culinary background and leadership in a fast-paced concession environment at airport or transit locations.

You will partner with the GM, schedule staff, and ensure safety, inventory, and guest satisfaction while delivering a memorable culinary experience for travelers.

Qualifications

• MUST HAVE 2 YEARS CULINARY EXPERIENCE
• Capable of standing for long periods (8+ hours)
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to work at least 40 hours per week
• Some weekends required (mornings/evenings)

Responsibilities

• Lead a kitchen team together with the GM
• Train, supervise, and coach staff to ensure quality and service
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff
• Schedule kitchen staff assignments
• Ensure guest satisfaction and resolve issues promptly
• Monitor food quality, presentation, and service standards
• Ensure safe handling and serving of alcohol
• Maintain equipment per safety and maintenance program
• Manage inventory and stock levels
• Evaluate cost effectiveness of operations
• Perform other duties as assigned
