Job summary

HMSHost is hiring a Cook to prepare cooked foods across Fry, Flat Top Griddle, Pantry, and eggs, and to communicate timing and any issues to the manager and servers. This is a non-exempt position offering opportunities for growth and development at an airport dining location.

The role requires following recipes, maintaining HACCP standards, and ensuring high-quality service to customers and associates at all times. Training and career growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Requires food preparation skills and knowledge of HACCP standards.
• Requires a minimum of 1 year of closely related cooking experience, high volume and casual dining environment preferred.
• Requires knowledge of soups, sauté, broiler, fry, and pantry.
• Ability to read and understand instructions and converse with customers.

Responsibilities

• Follows recipes and product directions for preparing and serving items.
• Estimates food requirements and checks production to plan requirements.
• Cleans and sanitizes work stations and equipment.
• Practices food safety and HACCP standards.
• Operates kitchen equipment; measures, washes, cuts, and prepares ingredients.
• Stocks, dates, rotates, and checks temperature of product.
