HMSHost at Phoenix Airport is seeking a Cook responsible for preparing cooked foods and performing station duties in Fry, Flat Top Griddle, Pantry, and eggs while communicating with the manager and servers to ensure timely service. This is a non-exempt position.

The role emphasizes high-quality food safety, HACCP compliance, and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work in a hot environment. Prior related cooking experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires food preparation skills and knowledge of HACCP standards.
• Requires a minimum of 1 year of closely related cooking experience, work experience in high volume and casual dining environment preferred.
• Requires knowledge of soups, sauté, broiler, fry, and pantry.
• Requires ability to read, understand instructions and policy documents, and converse with customers.
• Requires ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
• Requires ability to stand, bend, twist and work in a hot environment.

Responsibilities

• Follows recipes and product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving and serving items.
• Tastes products, estimates requirements, checks production and requisitions supplies.
• Cleans and sanitizes work stations and equipment.
• Practices HACCP and food safety standards.
• Operates kitchen equipment and prepares ingredients for dishes.
• Stocks, dates, rotates and checks temperature of products.
