Job summary

Piedmont Airlines in Portland, ME seeks a Customer Service Gate Agent in the Ground Handling Department to assist passengers with boarding, monitor boarding processes, and support customers with special needs. The primary responsibility is assisting passengers with boarding the aircraft and handling seating changes where needed.

You must complete the Gate Agent training, be able to lift 70 pounds, and work all shifts; the position reports to the General Manager and interacts with airline

Responsibilities

• Assist passengers in boarding and disembarking flights
• Monitor computerized passenger boarding
• Assist customers with special needs, including arranging for wheelchairs and unaccompanied minors
• Change customer flight itinerary and seat assignments as required
• Operate the Jetway
• Work as a team to provide excellent customer service and meet corporate objectives
