Beaufort County Council is seeking a maintenance worker to perform routine and scheduled tasks for the Airfield, Main Terminal and Administrative buildings. You will diagnose and repair electrical and plumbing issues, use heavy equipment, and work under general supervision, developing work methods independently.

Typical duties include using hand and power tools, repairing fixtures, performing general carpentry, maintaining grounds, and replacing lights.

Formación

• Requires High School graduation or GED equivalent.
• Two to four years of related maintenance experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving history.

Responsabilidades

• Uses hand and power tools to maintain equipment, buildings and structures.
• Maintains records or reports as specified.
• Repairs fixtures, lighting, plumbing and related components.
• Performs routine maintenance carpentry and painting for fences, buildings and grounds.
• Mows, trims, and maintains grounds; handles debris and litter cleanup.
• Replaces defective lights and performs other assigned maintenance tasks.
