Job summary

Elite Line Services in Washington, DC area seeks a Maintenance Technician for on-site upkeep of baggage handling systems and passenger boarding bridges. You will diagnose issues, perform routine and emergency maintenance, and ensure safe operation in a demanding airport environment.

The role requires at least 2 years of mechanical or electrical experience, the ability to read schematics, and the stamina to work in tight spaces.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak and understand English.
• Minimum 2 years of mechanical or electrical experience.
• Able to work a non-traditional schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Must obtain and maintain an Airport Security badge.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable under the company policy.

Responsibilities

• Completes scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repair of Baggage Handling Systems and/or Passenger Boarding Bridges; mentors, trains and assigns tasks of other personnel assigned to assist in maintenance and repair activities in the absence of Senior Technicians and/or Supervisors.
• Completes basic maintenance assignments involving preventive, routine and emergency maintenance, clearing system jams; shift inspections, cleaning, and/or electrical and mechanical adjustments.
• Diagnoses equipment failures under the guidance of senior personnel; ensures equipment is running safely.
• Reads and interprets repair manuals, basic schematics and supervisor/manager’s instructions.
• Works in tight and/or high spaces utilizing PPE and fall protection equipment.
• Follows and complies with all company and federally established policies and procedures; completes all applicable training courses assigned by the company.
• Complies with safety programs and completes forms connected with work assignments.
• Perform additional duties as required by management.
