Job summary

Southwest Airlines is seeking a Customer Service Agent to greet Customers at the ticket counter, gate, and baggage service office. You will help check in passengers, answer questions, and keep travel running smoothly.

The role is part of the Ground Operations team, with time-based schedules and potential overtime as needed. We offer competitive benefits and ongoing training, with a focus on friendly, patient service and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must be able to type and use a computer keyboard.
• Able to read documents and follow ticketing procedures.
• Team player able to work under pressure.
• Must complete Customer Service Agent training with 80%+ average.
• Must meet physical ability requirements per job description.
• US citizenship or eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly service to internal and external Customers.
• Work cooperatively to ensure the company’s success.
• Deliver legendary customer service for travelers, cargo, or baggage needs.
• Handle ticketing and check-in using a computerized POS system, boarding, baggage service, reservations.
• Greet Customers politely, handle payments, balance daily transactions, and resolve issues.
• Assist with baggage and cargo checks, provide flight information and answer inquiries.
• Document issues, complete reports, and adapt to station size and needs.
• Meet physical requirements and be able to perform other duties as directed.
