Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a proactive Project Engineer to support the Owner's Representative team on a $2.3 billion program at Tampa International Airport in Tampa, Florida. The role is based in a construction trailer or airport office and will handle submittals, RFIs, tests, and related contract records.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of construction administrative experience, strong organizational and communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of construction project administrative experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with construction project management systems a plus.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize under tight deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working in an active jobsite trailer and adapting to changing project needs.

Responsibilities

• Supports the Project Manager to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
• Works in office and/or field for essential administrative duties.
• Familiarity with contract documents and project controls systems.
• Assists in processing progress payments, submittals, document management, and PMIS Kahua usage.
• Follows airport operations, security protocols and notification processes.
• Assists PM in information dissemination for upcoming work.
• Maintains open, honest communications with project team and stakeholders.
• Participates in meetings with Design Builders/Contractors and staff.
