Job summary

The Port of Portland seeks a Communications Supervisor to lead the Airport Communications Center (ACC), the 24/7 hub that keeps PDX operating safely and efficiently. You will guide a representation across bargaining units, make fast operational decisions, and support airport operations with clear, timely information.

You’ll collaborate with ACC leadership, security, and maintenance teams to ensure compliant, reliable communications and uninterrupted service for employees, airlines, and travelers.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years in an airport environment, communications center, PSAP, or similar operation; supervisory experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain security clearances.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day ACC operations, including emergency communications, maintenance dispatch, paging, customer information, and other critical services.
• Serve as primary on-duty supervisor, making timely operational decisions and resolving escalated issues.
• Monitor workflows and ensure compliance with ACC procedures, Port policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with airport operations, security, and maintenance teams to ensure seamless communications.
