Job summary

The City of Charlotte’s Aviation Department is seeking a Supervisor for Airport Operations Center Coordinators. You will organize shifts, assign tasks, train staff, schedule, and review performance to ensure smooth operations while representing CLT professionally.

You will assist tenants, the traveling public, and airport employees, maintain records, and respond effectively in emergencies. A related degree or equivalent experience is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Associate/HS-based path with aviation-related field and experience required.
• Knowledge of FAR Parts 139 and TSR Part 1542 is required.
• ICS/NIMS knowledge required.
• Airport operations and telecommunications knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Airport Operations Center Coordinators: organize shifts, assign tasks, train, schedule, review performance.
• Assist tenants, contractors, travelers, and airport staff; maintain relationships.
• Respond calmly in emergencies; exercise independent judgment within rules.
• Support 24/7/365 admin duties; communicate clearly, verbally and in writing.
• Maintain accurate records and produce reports.
• Other duties as assigned.
