Job summary

HMSHost at Minneapolis Airport is seeking a Bartender to greet customers, take orders, mix beverages, and serve drinks while ensuring accuracy in transactions and a high level of service. This is a non-exempt position reporting to the store leadership at the airport location.

The role requires knowledge of beer, wine and spirits, and at least 1 year of bartending experience in a high-volume setting. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.

Qualifications

• Must meet state minimum age for serving alcoholic beverages.
• At least 1 year bartending experience in high-volume setting.
• Knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits and their preparation.
• Ability to interact with customers and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic manner.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Cash handling and customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and take orders; provide product information and upsell opportunities.
• Follows recipes and directions for mixing beverages.
• Collects payments and operates cash registers per policies; secures money at shift end.
• Adheres to alcohol awareness procedures and handles intoxicated guests.
• Ensures a clean, sanitized and well-stocked bar.
• Per HMSHost policies, collaborates with store team to deliver great service.
