Provo City is seeking a full-time Airport Access Control Specialist at Provo Airport to manage the badge system, perform background checks, and enforce TSA and FAA security requirements. The role involves coordinating access programs, documenting security operations, and ensuring compliance with city policies.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, data entry experience, and a valid driver’s license. Must obtain the airport security badge while employed.

Qualifikationen

• Two years of technical clerical duties which included computer data entry/retrieval and records management.
• Valid, lawful Driver License.
• Must obtain and hold Airport Green Security Badge during employment.

Aufgaben

• Perform access control activities and communications as per TSA requirements.
• Coordinate activities and programs involving security access and ID media.
• Communicate airport access rules and regulations to the public, employees, tenants, law enforcement personnel and fire personnel, members of the media, and other airport users.
• Regularly review and ensure all security-related operations are effective and in compliance with City Policy, FAA regulations, and TSA Part 1542; correct non-compliance or alert Airport Manager.
• Collect, control, and process fingerprints for criminal background checks according to TSA regulations.
• Track access dates and deny access to expired badge holders.
• Respond to inspections and tests by FAA, DHS, TSA; update Security Plan and ACM as needed.
• File and record badging and security information; complete and retain related reports and documentation.
• Support staff and perform other related duties as required.
