Job summary

Provo City is seeking a part-time Airport Operations Specialist to manage airside operations, maintain the Airport Operating Certificate, and coordinate airport security including security systems and facilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Three years of progressively responsible maintenance and heavy equipment experience.
• Department of Homeland Security background check required.
• Airport Security Coordinator training and Airport Inspector/Wildlife Hazard Management on-the-job training within 1 month of hire.

Responsibilities

• Regularly inspect and evaluate airport/tenant facilities for TSA compliance.
• Execute airport certification plans and mandated security plans.
• Identify, assess, and determine security risks.
• Ensure all electrical/radio systems are operational 24/7.
• Inspect and schedule tool maintenance and inventory.
• Process applications for access areas (SIDA, AOA, etc.).
• Train security employees.
• Coordinate with Air Traffic Control and airport personnel.
