Job summary

United Ground Express is seeking personnel to assist passengers with check-in, ticketing and boarding procedures at SHV Shreveport Regional Airport. The role involves using reservation software to rebook itineraries, issue boarding passes, and calculate fees while ensuring accuracy and on-time flight operations.

Responsibilities include resolving passenger issues during disruptions, handling baggage operations, and maintaining professionalism in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must pass pre-employment screenings including fingerprint/background check and drug screen.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Must be able to lift and carry baggage up to 70 lbs.
• Able to work any shift, including days/nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must read, write, speak and understand English fluently.

Responsibilities

• Greeting passengers and providing check-in and ticketing service.
• Use reservation and ticketing software to rebook itineraries and issue boarding passes.
• Ensure passenger information is processed accurately and flights are sent on time.
• Resolve passenger issues per company policies due to flight interruptions.
• May assist in Baggage Service Office handling baggage and passenger inquiries.
• Operate computers, mobile devices and other tech.
• Lift and move baggage, up to 70 lbs, and potentially more than 100 items per aircraft.
• Maintain composure while assisting customers during challenges.
• Read baggage tags and cargo labels; prep aircraft for next flight.
• Communicate with co-workers or flight crew using radio devices.
• Comply with United and FAA regulations and policies.
