Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a leader in Airframe Design for Survivability to guide complex projects from concept to production. This onsite role expects strong technical vision, cross-group collaboration, and a drive to advance advanced survivability technologies for aircraft.

The incumbent will mentor engineers, participate in independent reviews, and ensure designs are robust, producible, and compliant with program requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelors, Masters, and/or PhD in a relevant STEM degree with extensive industry experience.
• Must have experience in airframe design for Survivability and materials modeling.
• Experience verifying survivability designs via full-scale vehicle or flight testing.

Responsibilities

• Lead and advise on survivability design across programs and sector initiatives.
• Develop NGAS survivability airframe vision and roadmaps for edge technologies.
• Mentor engineers and lead independent review teams.
