Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks a Senior Principal Engineer - Survivability to join our team in Palmdale, CA or Rancho Bernardo, CA. The successful candidate will develop and procure aircraft survivability subsystem design, integration and test for advanced programs.

You will coordinate with suppliers and internal support organizations, manage risks, write ICDs and SOWs, and lead test planning and data analysis, with up to 25% travel and on-site work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 8+ years of related engineering experience or higher degrees with fewer years of experience.
• Demonstrated depth in RF and antenna functionality with RF integration and testing experience.
• Experience in Survivability/Low Observables and EM principles related to Radar Cross Section/RF signature.
• Experience in Systems Engineering, LRU integration/testing and supplier management.
• Active U.S. Government Top Secret clearance (or eligible for it).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain system requirements and architecture; author ICDs and Statements of Work.
• Manage vendors and subcontractors as part of a Supplier Management Team.
• Establish and coordinate test plans, execute tests, and analyze data.
• Communicate risks, issues, and opportunities to stakeholders.
• Coordinate with Global Supply Chain, Facilities, IT and Security.
