Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Propulsion for Survivability - NG Fellow 1 to lead complex Survivability manufacturing, technology integration, and training across LO platforms. The role is 100% onsite at multiple locations including Redondo Beach, Melbourne, San Diego, and more.

The ideal leader will guide design, inspection, sequencing, and implementation, mentoring engineers and advancing new technologies for production and field readiness while collaborating with government customers and

Qualifications

Bachelor's, Master’s, and/or PhD in a relevant STEM degree and robust industry related experience.
20 years of experience with a BS or 18 years with an MS or PhD.
Experience with Survivability inspection and repair techniques including materials integration/design, and technology transfer to Production for LO Platforms.
Extensive knowledge of aircraft contributors to survivability and the design trade space with aircraft performance from Test through Production and Sustainment.
Experience with suppliers to understand producibility and scalability.
Active U.S. Government Secret Clearance to start and ability to obtain TS/SCI.

Responsibilities

Support multiple programs, IRAD/CRAD projects, and sector initiatives in a leadership or advisory role.
Develop and maintain the NGAS Survivability Production vision and roadmap for technology integration into Production.
Participate and occasionally lead independent review teams.
Develop and mentor the next generation of engineers in discipline.
Act as a thought leader for the Survivability community and engage with customers and leadership.
Advise management on technical research, applications and long-range business planning.
