Job summary

City of Cleveland is seeking an Burke Airport Operations Superintendent to manage day-to-day airport operations, supervise staff, and ensure compliance with FAA and other regulations. You will coordinate movement area operations, weather planning, snow/ice control, and emergency response efforts.

The role requires an Associate’s Degree and 6 years of experience in airport operations, with preference for Hopkins or Burke airport familiarity and CMAE/AAE credentials.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Aviation, Airport Management, or related field from an accredited college or university required.
• Six years of full-time paid experience as an airport operations agent, two of which may be in an airport operations-related field, required.
• Must be able to type and possess general computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite products.

Responsibilities

• Assigns daily shift responsibilities and supervises the work performed by assigned team members.
• Prepare work and staffing schedules for Operations staff.
• Coordinate and supervise operations in the movement area including snow removal, crash and rescue, construction, and maintenance activities.
