Job summary

The City of Cleveland seeks an Airport Operations Supervisor to oversee daily operations at Cleveland Hopkins and Burke Lakefront Airports. Under the Manager of Airport Operations, you will supervise staff, assign shifts, ensure FAA compliance, and support operational policies.

Responsibilities include supervising Agents, coordinating weather and snow operations, monitoring aircraft movement, and communicating with airlines, FAA ATC, and other agencies.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Aviation, Airport Management, or related field required.
• Four years of full-time paid experience as an airport operations agent, two of which may be in an airport operations-related field, required.
• One year of supervisory experience preferred.
• Valid State of Ohio Driver’s License required.
• Must pass TSA fingerprint-based background check and employment background check.

Responsibilities

• Supervises Airport Operations Agents I and II and guides staff.
• Assigns daily shift duties and supports staffing schedules.
• Assists in implementing FAA regulations and airport policies.
• Monitors field conditions, weather-related operations, and snow control planning.
• Communicates with airlines, FAA ATC, airport management, and other entities as required.
• Performs regular patrols, inspections, and reports safety or maintenance issues.
