Job summary

CVG Airport Authority seeks an experienced leader to manage Airport Operations, overseeing airfield, terminal, and landside functions. You will ensure safe operations during routine and emergencies, lead staff development, and coordinate with FAA, KCAB, and contractors.

Strong budget, contract, and compliance oversight are required. The role requires 7+ years at a FAR 139 airport, 3+ years of supervisory experience, and relevant licenses/trainings; a related bachelor’s degree is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of direct experience at a FAR 139 commercial service airport.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable.
• Valid driver’s license; SIDA clearance; NIMS & emergency training.

Responsibilities

• Ensure continuous safe airfield and terminal operations during routine and emergency conditions.
• Manage staff, delegate work, coach, and evaluate performance.
• Maintain FAA Part 139 programs and Airport Certification Manual.
• Lead FAA certification inspections and airfield safety meetings.
• Oversee compliance with FAA Part 77 and coordinate obstructions with KCAB and contractors.
• Develop and manage the Airport Operations department budget.
• Oversee contract management activities, RFPs, and bid specifications.
