Job summary

City of Cleveland is seeking an Airport Operations Supervisor to oversee daily operations at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport and Burke Lakefront Airport. You will guide and train operations staff, assign shifts, and ensure compliance with FAA regulations.

The role requires an Associate’s degree in aviation or related field, 4 years of airport operations experience (2 in related field), and in-depth knowledge of airport safety, wildlife control, and weather coordination.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Aviation, Airport Management, or related field required.
• Four years of full-time paid experience as an airport operations agent required (two of which may be in an airport operations-related field).
• One year of supervisory experience preferred.
• Must possess valid State of Ohio driver’s license and good IT/computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in operational management of Cleveland Hopkins International Airport or Burke Lakefront Airport to maintain the airport operating certificate.
• Supervise Airport Operations Agents I and II and guide/train staff.
• Coordinate shift duties, staffing schedules, and emergency operations.
• Maintain knowledge of FAA regulations and ensure compliance.
• Monitor field conditions, weather, wildlife activity, and wildlife-hazing procedures.
• Communicate with airlines, FAA ATC, airport management, and other entities as required.
• Respond to emergencies and oversee snow and ice control and winter operations.
