Outagamie County Mechanic position performing skilled repair and maintenance on vehicles, construction equipment, and airfield-related gear. Reports to the Operations Supervisor: Airfield and works the 2:00pm–10:00pm second shift with overtime as required.

Responsibilities include diagnosing defects, overhauls on engines and transmissions, preventive maintenance, airfield inspections, and snow removal operations.

Competenze

• Four years of experience in mechanical maintenance of heavy equipment.
• Associate Degree in mechanics or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read repair manuals and schematics.
• Ability to work long hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Mansioni

• Inspects, tests, and diagnoses automotive, construction and road equipment for mechanical defects and performs general repairs.
• Overhauls, repairs, and rebuilds engines, transmissions, and related components.
• Performs preventative maintenance and records time/materials for each project.
• Maintains airfield safety inspections and snow removal operations.
• Assists in grass mowing and airfield tasks as needed.
• Maintains equipment and tools; orders supplies when needed.
