Outagamie County is seeking a Mechanic to perform skilled repair and maintenance on vehicles, construction equipment, and airfield systems. The role supports airfield operations and requires some snow removal duties with a 2:00pm–10:00pm second shift; overtime may be required.

The position offers benefits through the county retirement plan; health coaching and clinic services are provided for employees and dependents enrolled in county health insurance.

Competenze

• Associate degree in mechanics with engines/heavy equipment focus and 4+ years of experience.
• Airport experience and knowledge of FAA regulations preferred.
• Any combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Mansioni

• Inspect, test, and diagnose automotive, construction, and road equipment for defects.
• Overhaul and repair engines, transmissions, differentials, and related systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and welding to repair parts.
• Maintain time and materials records for each project.
• Conduct airfield safety inspections and snow removal operations.
• Assist in grass mowing and other airfield tasks and fence repairs.
• Order supplies and maintain building as required.
