Job summary

TYLin is seeking an Airfield Senior Civil Engineer to lead planning, design, and delivery of complex airport projects within our Aviation practice in the United States. You will guide technical teams, coordinate with planners, architects, and environmental specialists, and ensure constructible, compliant solutions for runways, taxiways, and related airfield facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and a Professional Engineer license.
• Progressive civil engineering experience with airport/aviation projects is required.
• Experience with runway and taxiway geometry, grading, drainage, pavement, utilities, and landside airport improvements.
• Strong knowledge of FAA design standards and AIP-funded project processes.
• Ability to travel to airports and project sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, and delivery of complex airfield and airport civil projects from concept to construction.
• Serve as airfield discipline lead on multidisciplinary teams, coordinating with planners, architects, engineers, and environmental specialists.
• Develop airfield geometrics, alignments, grading, drainage, and pavement layouts.
• Prepare and oversee plans, specifications, cost estimates, design criteria, and bid documents.
• Apply FAA standards, ACs, and airport criteria to project development.
• Mentor engineers and designers, promoting technical excellence across teams.
