Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer license required, and ability to obtain licensure in other states.
• Approximately 12+ years of progressive civil engineering experience with significant aviation exposure.
• Demonstrated experience with airport design, runway/taxiway geometry, grading, drainage, and pavements.
• Strong knowledge of FAA design standards, ACs, and AIP-funded project processes.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and common engineering tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, and delivery of complex airfield and airport civil projects from concept through construction.
• Serve as airfield discipline lead on multidisciplinary project teams.
• Develop and review airfield geometry, grading, drainage, pavement, and utilities layouts.
• Prepare and oversee plans, specs, reports, cost estimates, and design criteria.
• Apply FAA standards and AIP requirements to project development.
• Lead analyses and evaluate alternatives for safe, sustainable solutions.
• Provide technical direction for design production using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and related tools.
• Manage project work plans, schedules, budgets, and quality-control procedures.
• Develop scopes of work, fee proposals, and client presentations.
• Participate in stakeholder coordination, reviews, and design workshops.
• Provide construction-phase services and field observations.
• Mentor and develop engineers and designers across teams.
