Job summary

TYLin is seeking an experienced Project Manager – Aviation (Terminal Design) to lead the planning, design, and delivery of complex airport terminal projects. You will coordinate architects, engineers, planners, and stakeholders to ensure design excellence, operational efficiency, and passenger-focused outcomes.

You will guide teams through programming to construction administration, manage scope, schedule, and budgets, and mentor junior managers within TYLin’s Aviation practice.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience managing airport terminal design and redevelopment projects.
• Experience delivering major terminal projects at commercial airports in the United States or internationally.
• Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary design teams on complex aviation projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design delivery of major airport terminal projects, including new construction, renovations, expansions, and modernization programs.
• Manage multidisciplinary design teams including architects, engineers, planners, interior designers, aviation specialists, and consultants.
• Serve as the primary project interface with airport owners, airlines, tenants, regulatory agencies, and other key stakeholders.
• Coordinate all phases of terminal design, including programming, concept design, schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration.
• Develop and manage project scope, schedule, budget, staffing plans, and delivery strategies.
• Facilitate design coordination meetings and ensure alignment between architectural, engineering, operational, and stakeholder requirements.
• Guide teams through complex design challenges related to passenger flow, security, baggage handling, concessions, accessibility, and airport operations.
• Review and manage design deliverables, technical submissions, and quality assurance processes.
• Coordinate with construction teams to support constructability reviews, phasing strategies, and implementation planning.
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to maintain design quality, schedule, and budget objectives.
• Prepare executive-level presentations, project reports, and client communications.
• Mentor junior project managers and contribute to the continued growth of TYLin’s Aviation practice.
